I designed this mural as a volunteer project for Brooklyn Arbor children’s school in Brooklyn, NY. Not surprising given its name, Brooklyn Arbor wanted all of the art in their outdoor renovation to feature flora and fauna. The kids then and in years to come would be planting and nurturing trees and different plants so the mural needed to reflect that. We went through a lot of different bright palettes before landing on this more tonal one. The illustration style is friendly and approachable to reflect the playful spirit of its surroundings and the children who would be viewing it.
