I had the honor of releasing a second Love stamp with the USPS in January 2022. When I was working on the concepts for the 2021 Love stamp nearly three years ago I had pitched a few different options, this design being one of them. The team ultimately wanted to produce my other stamp but asked if they could keep this as a backup to maybe or maybe not use some day. I was delighted to find out a few months ago that these were indeed being produced. Above I included a few other rough sketches. You can see the draft was really quite rough for the floral stamp when we started out. So fun to see it come full circle!
A massive thank you to one of the greatest Creative Director’s I’ve had the honor to work with- Greg Breeding at Journey Group- for this project.
